About Married to the Army

I started the Married to the Army website in May of 2004. When my husband joined the Army, I could not find the information I was seeking. I decided to create a resource that could hopefully help others avoid that feeling of loneliness and isolation that I experienced when he first joined. 

The website has grown tremendously over the past few years and now includes a store, blog, message board and chat room. I've also had the opportunity to appear in newspapers across the nation talking about my website as well as participate in a television production entitled "Instant Iraq" by Georgia Public Broadcasting.
